Strawflower Seeds

Strawflower Seeds

These extra large, multi-petaled Strawflowers with multiple blooms are striking in all stages, from bud to fully opened. Our Strawflower seeds offer a wide range of bright colors, perfect for cutting or drying. Known as the Everlasting Flower, their stiff, papery bracts never wilt and hold their color indefinitely. These blooms have a subtle, silky sheen that seems to magnify the rich colors. This mix includes flowers in shades of pink, rose, yellow and white on 24- 40" tall plants.

Planting Strawflower Seeds

Direct sow Strawflower seeds in the spring, after the threat of frost has passed. Strawflower can also be started indoors, 6-8 weeks before the final frost date in Spring.
Strawflowers prefer full sun, and well-draining soil, and they are drought-tolerant.
Loosen the soil, and mix in compost or aged manure. Plant seeds 12-15" deep, and 12-18" apart.
